Routing Guide & Booking Behavior

Last updated: October 6, 2025

Q1. At what stage is the routing guide triggered?

A1. The routing guide is typically triggered at Quoted or Booked status depending on customer setup. It identifies carriers that have historically run that lane or meet routing preferences.

Q2. Why do I sometimes see “0 responses” in the routing guide, but still see multiple bookings?

A2. Because the routing guide only tracks responses through specific channels. Loads may still be booked if:

  • Carriers were contacted via other methods (calls, personal phones, alternate emails).

  • The broker manually assigned the carrier.

  • Communication happened outside FleetWorks tracking.

Q3. What does this mean for routing guide analytics?

A3. A “0 responses” metric doesn’t necessarily mean the routing guide was ineffective — it may just mean booking occurred off-channel.
